Everything this website does, organized by who you are: a visitor, a signed-in member, or a district administrator.

For visitors

No account needed. Every page below is public.

Home: District overview, weekly scrolling events board, county snapshots for Harris and Montgomery, newsroom highlights, and links to Tools & Apps.
About: Who CD-2 is, the counties covered, and how the district organization is structured.
Leadership: Congressional District 2 leadership grid with name, position, and a short blurb. Includes State Democratic Executive Committee members and the Vacancy Committee.
Calendar: The full district calendar plus the Submit an Event form. Events are pulled from the district Google Calendar and shown in Central Time.
Clubs: Searchable directory of Democratic clubs and allied organizations, filterable by county. Includes League of Women Voters chapters and Indivisible groups.
Candidates: Democratic nominees grouped by Federal, Statewide, State Legislature, Judicial, County, and Local. Judicial has sub-filters for each Harris County court type. Website and social buttons appear only where a verified link exists.
Elected Officials: Directory of current officeholders with filters for All, Harris, Montgomery, and Statewide & District-wide, sorted from Federal down to Judiciary.
Volunteer: Volunteer sign-up form. Submissions are emailed to info@txcd2.org.
Tools & Apps: Organizing tools, voter data apps, and digital resources used across the district.
Resources: Searchable resource center for forms, templates, agendas, bylaws, and branding assets.
Contact: General contact form and district email. All messages route to info@txcd2.org.
Search: Site-wide search hub, reachable from the Search button in the header.

For members

Precinct chairs, delegates, and members with a portal account.

Sign in: Use the red Sign in button in the header to reach the sign-in page. Accounts are created by invitation; there are no anonymous sign-ups.
Portal home: After signing in, the header button changes to Portal. The dashboard shows your profile and the member sections available to you.
Submit an event: Members can submit district events with a title, date, time, location, description, and an optional flyer upload. Submissions go to the review queue and notify info@txcd2.org.
Pending submissions: See the status of events you have submitted while they await review.
Member resources: Internal documents and sections that are hidden from the public site.

For administrators

CD-2 leadership with admin or super admin roles.

Admin dashboard: Admins and super admins see a Shield-marked Admin button in the header linking to the admin area.
Event review queue: Approve or decline submitted events, review flyer attachments, and see submitter details.
Leadership management: Add, edit, reorder, and remove leadership entries. Changes appear on the public Leadership page immediately.
Clubs management: Maintain the clubs and organizations directory: name, county, website, and description.
Members & roles: View member accounts and assign roles. Roles are stored separately from profiles and enforced server-side.
Section visibility: Toggle homepage and site sections on or off without a code change.

Events & language

Submitting an event: use the form on the Calendar page. A notification with the details and any flyer link is sent to info@txcd2.org, and the event appears publicly only after an administrator approves it.
Times: all event times display in Central Time.
Languages: the globe menu labeled “Language” in the header switches the site between English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Urdu, and Arabic. Your choice is remembered on your device. Names of people, organizations, counties, and offices are never translated.

Good to know

Resource Center downloads are sample placeholders — the files are not yet attached.
Training Library and parts of the Resources area are labeled Coming Soon.
Montgomery County club coverage is still thin; confirm meeting details directly with each organization.
Homepage weekly events depend on the district Google Calendar staying public — if sharing is turned off, the scrolling board is empty.
Footer social links are placeholders until official accounts are supplied.
Translations are machine-assisted and hand-reviewed; the English version is the official version.
